1) Dance-Music.org -> Newsletter Issue 02 11th December 2008

Welcome to our Christmas edition newsletter for 2008. It's been a good year for Dance-Music.org with many signing up to our newsletter and of course, enjoying the music.

As always we have some exclusive tracks just for our readers at the end of the newsletter and a special 1 hour Dance-Music.org Christmas Hardcore Mix download from DJ - C.D.C. to get you in the party mood.

So before we get on with the news, we would like to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous new year.

So on with the news…

2) “Christmas is coming, the album's getting phatt” -> Breaking The Rules Album Update

The album has come on leaps and bounds over the last few months and the finishing post is in sight!

As you will know we offered everyone the chance to help shape the album and give your input on the tracks DJ - C.D.C. had laid down as the final shape for the album.

We were very pleased to see no one had asked for a single track to not be included and judging by the visitor stats, you were all keen to have a listen to the samples that were available.

This inspired DJ - C.D.C. tremendously and helped him to continue with the album and write a completely new track, which he considers to be one of the best on the album.

The track is called 'Fibre Optic' and has a more of a funky soul sound to it than the rest of the album, but I'm sure you'll agree is a cracking track!

We have also finally named our un-named track, 'Rebel Rhythm' which we hope you like!

The Latest News page has been updated to now include samples of all the tracks on the album, so you can go check it out and let us know what you think.

With 'Fibre Optic' being the 11th track finalised, there is only 1 track left to finish as 12 tracks will be the final track count, which tune I hear you ask, well of course it is 'Oblivion' and it's causing DJ - C.D.C. quite a bit of bother.

The irony of this track 'Oblivion' is that it was the first track started when DJ - C.D.C. decided to embark on a 'Break Beat' album, as with most tracks, half way through he starts on another and then another, so up to 3 or 4 tunes are W.I.P. at any one time.

Later through the album he was inspired to use some famous samples from a classic film, which worked really well, but sequencing them in a musical fashion is proving tricky, without it sounding repetitive.

This has slowed down the progress of the track, and so ended up being the track left till last to complete.

This DJ - C.D.C. is hoping will give him that final motivation to complete the last track so he can then start the final album polishing process.

This means we could see the final released date for the album in the first quarter of 2009!

As always we welcome all feedback and comments and hope you are looking forward to the album release as much as we are.

3) So Who Are Dance-Music.org?

I bet you're wondering why we are asking you this question! Well is goes like this…

Basically Dance Music Organisation is DJ - C.D.C. , the reason we make this announcement is simple, right now it's DJ - C.D.C. writing this newsletter, and as you will notice, he is (I am!) , speaking in the third person.

… not any more …

I've been toying with this dilemma for a while now and felt odd sitting here typing as though I was writing about myself. Originally I thought I was trying to keep a professionalism between artist and website as I want Dance-Music.org to be 'The Home Of Free Dance Music', rather than just another DJ/Producer's home page!

However on the other hand, I don't want to seem as though I'm trying to fool anyone or make out Dance-Music.org or DJ- C.D.C. for that matter is anything other than what they are; a guy at home in his make shift studio (If you can call a computer and a mixing desk a studio!), who has always had a passion for electronic music and just wanted to have fun.

Luckily my day job and hobby overlap when it comes to developing websites, so armed with a few gigs of audio samples, a sequencer program, a passion for music , knowledge of computers and web mastering skills, Dance-Music.org is my latest 'resurrected' creation.

Hopefully none of this will even matter to you, because the reason you joined Dance-Music.org was for the music and nothing else, and that's the whole aim of this website, so I hope you continue to enjoy the music and I appreciate your continuing support.

Peace, Unity, Love & Having Fun,

Craig Chant (DJ - C.D.C.)

4) Free MP3 Music Downloads For Every Newsletter Reader

I have a treat for you in this Christmas edition of the newsletter!

'Razor Bass' is an old hardcore track I wrote a good few years ago, well just for the Dance-Music.org readers I have revisited the track and reworked it, which I hope you will enjoy as the track has never before been released.

An additional treat has been included which is the Hip Hop track, 'Make Money'; this track was actually released via MP3.com, and was chosen for the 'Business Juke Box' scheme they ran.

I cannot remember what the scheme was called but basically businesses had juke boxes in-store around America and chose what types of tracks they wanted to play from the pool of artists available.

'Make Money' was chosen to be included in the available tracks for play.

I don't know how many times the track was played, but it felt cool to think shoppers, somewhere in America were listening to my tune!

Ok that wraps it up for this year, hope you enjoyed 2008 as much as I have and I look forward to your feedback when the album is finally released, so until then; enjoy the free music!
